Poco despu\u00e9s, junto con dos socios, fund\u00f3 una f\u00e1brica textil.<\/p><p>Se cas\u00f3 con Concepci\u00f3 Pujol i Morat\u00f3, hija de Manlleu. Tuvieron nueve hijos; uno de ellos fue nuestro abuelo. Uno de los hermanos, \u201cPepitu\u201d, que falleci\u00f3 joven, dej\u00f3 cientos de fotograf\u00edas en placas de vidrio que hoy tienen un gran valor hist\u00f3rico. Muchas de ellas pueden verse en el Hotel can Garay.<\/p><p>Uno de los socios de la f\u00e1brica se cas\u00f3 con una joven de \u201cla Vedruna\u201d, una gran mas\u00eda con mucha historia del pueblo de Les Planes d\u2019Hostoles. Gracias a esa conexi\u00f3n, los Garay conocieron el municipio. Uno de sus hermanos, Dami\u00e0, fue escultor y poeta. Otro, Mart\u00ed, fue un pintor muy reconocido.
