Explore our surroundings
The village of Les Planes is actually made up of two small hamlets, Cogolls and Les Encies and was built on a 45,000 year-old lava flow from the nearby Traiter volcano. The surrounding countryside offers a varied landscape ideal for walking and cycling. Several sign-posted routes and trails; the Via Verde (Greenways), the Camino de Santiago (the Pilgrim’s Way to Santiago), the Volcanic Park of La Garrotxa and the GR83 (a long-distance national walking trail) all converge on Les Planes.
